AK-74 5.45mm brake question [Archive]

Can 5.56 mm ammo be fired through a Bulgarian AK-74 5.45mm brake or does the brake need to be modified? Any help would be appreciated.

Stick abullet in end and see if there is enough room for it to clear. I should think there is.

There's plenty of clearance for the 5.56mm round. I've even heard of 7.62 shot through these brakes - but it better be real straight!
