View Thread: SKS with no import or mfg markings

I have a like new, appears to have never been fired ,Chinese military SKS. It has no reciever markings other than a 7 digit serial # and 4 small marks that appear to be chinese . All the other serial # parts have the last 5 of the 7 # on them. It has dark wood and a spike bayonet.
Would this be a brought back rifle or would there be anouther explanation?

Inspect the front of the barrel and bayonet lug area closely for import stamps and below the stock line as well. Some rifles missed the import stamp procedure. Bringback..., not without papers to show.

I have disassembled and inspected every inch of metal on this rifle and there are absolutly no markings on it other than what I discribed

I had a Chinese M-14 that only had a serial number on the receiver and no other markings at all. No brand name and no import stamp.

Long shot, but maybe it is one of the stamped models? Is die receiver milled or stamped?

EDIT: Take a look at the last thread in this forum :p .
