STV-40 mag

Years ago I bought a STV-40 when Century was importing them. Nice fun rifle but little to no accessories.
My question is about the mag. I've done a superficial look at the Romak 7.62x54 mags, and they seem very similar to the STV-40 mag. Anybody try to adapt one to the STV?
Wanted to add I'm thinking about trading it for a good quality AK as I have not shot it much over the years. About 100 rounds, still have the paper wrapped ammo I got with it.

From what i have heard, the shape of the SVT 40 mag (6 sided) is not the same as the PSL mags. They will not fit in the mag well in otherwords.
I do not know from actual experience though.
As a SVT 40 owner, i personally would not trade one for an AK.

Buymilsurp .com has slings and aim surplus has bayos as far as mags go repros sell for abot 50 bucks from numrich with some fitting required .

The PSL mag will almost work in the SVT. But it takes alot of modification. I spent 6hrs. And still never got it perfect.
The PSL mag is too fat (side to side). And thats not counting the "X" thats stamped into the body of the bag. This must be all ground flush. And then, the front mag lip must be ground almost completely off and it will probably fall off, so tack weld in place. Then the whole mag needs "crushed" in a vice to get its width reduced. When you do this, all kinds of welds usually pop. :(

There is other stuff, but its just not worth it. One might be better off to mate a psl mag to the bottom of an SVT mag. Or simply make an SVT mag from scratch and use the follower and spring from PSL mags. ?
I have a Plasmacam on the way. Been thinkin about disecting an SVT mag and cutting one out and seeing if i can make one.

I have pics of my PSL/SVT hybrid mag. I will try to post. It actually functioned, but i dont think alot of the factory welds would last long in the field since i had to rape it soo bad.

That seems like some derious trouble for that.
The way i see it is, if you have a reall ruskie mag, just have some nice stripper clips.
