View Thread: Posp 8X42 mount piece missing.

Hey guys. I believe i have a piece missing on my Posp. Can anyone confirm is there some that did not have this piece that is circled in red?

Or do all of the Posp scopes have that cam type piece to lock it on the mount?

Here is a pic of the piece i am talking about.

By the way i have all the other lever pieces seen in the pic. Just don't have that little peg lever that's circled.

There are differebnt style levers. Does your lever have a tang extending from it and a detent in the mount. Does the scope mount and lock as it should?

Here is a pic of my current mount. It does have a little tang sticking off of the lever on the top side of it.

My 6x42 POSP came with an SVD mount, the replacement AK mount from Kalinka looks exactly like yours. It does not have the second lever. It seems to lock onto the rail, though it relies on an extremely short arc to do it. Mine seems to be adjusted properly now, where the tightening lever remains captive between the scope body and mount rail, yet will lock or unlock with about 1/4" of throw. I'm still learning with it. I just laser zero'd it tonight, maybe I will get out to shoot this weekend.
