I fumbled around with cheap red-dots for my stg-2000-c (Ak-variant), and found that their is not a good, reliable red-dot for less than a hundred dollars. I first tried a red-dot from BSA($40), it couldn't hold a zero at 50 yards. The next red-dot was a AIMPOINT clone that I got from Cheaper-Than-Dirt it cost $45 plus shipping and it was a piece of junk. Finally I got a Bushnell Trophy Red-dot that retails on the nationwide market for $129.99, but I got it for $89.99 since I live in the Midwest where everything is usually alot cheaper. First I bore-sighted the dot sight, and then zeroed it by grouping shots, well after it was zeroed at 75 yard I found that it kept its zero for the next couple hundred rounds and never needed any adjustment. I was shooting no worst than 4 1/2" shot groups. The red-dot has eleven brightness levels and a sunshade. The dot is usually bright enough at brightness level 6 to use in full sun if the sunshade and polarizing lense are attached. This is an excellent red-dot scope for the stg-2000-c for sporting purposes, but I would not use for combative situations because the red-dot is battery operated, and I would reccommend a tritium powered red-dot for combative purposes.
