Romy (?) drum load question

On those East Block 75 rnd drums that load via the ratchet lever, how much pretension should you put on the spring before loading? Assume a zero-tension starting point. How many full rotations of the ferris wheel is ideal?

unless you have disassembled it ,it should be set already. otherwise 1/4 to 1/2 turn

1/4 turn wasn't enough, so perhaps 1/2 will do.

if you disassembled it then to reset the tension it needs 3 and one third turns
