View Full Version : I'm in Iraq, and I have a bunch of Tobuk photos..

...That I'd like to post, but I can't host them from here. For those who might not know, the Tobuk is the Iraqi AK, a pretty close copy of a Yugo AK with worm writing on it. I took a ton of super close-ups, and detail shots of the markings.

It may take me a day or two to compress them to a reasonable size for email, and my computer access can be sporatic.

If you can host the pics for posting on this board, send me an email at eodinert@*remove*yahoo.com.

Also, I need a flash hider for a H&K G3 (pre-ban, 22mm OD) sent to my APO address. I'll send a (presumably) iraqi AK mag pouch (found next to a pile of uniforms) to whomever can send me one (they say it's OK to ship this stuff out, I guess I'll find out). Bayonets are not allowed to be mailed...

You might want to check with the JAG on the legality of sending uniform and similar items. Last I heard, no war trophies were allowed. Take care and stay safe.

If you can get the pics to around 250K, hunt101.com will host them for you.

They are telling us no 'weapons', including knives, optics, etc., but uniforms and web gear are OK. There is also some discussion of relaxing the standards a bit, but I don't know if that will happen.

I'm emailing my photos as we speak, so they will be up soon, hopefully.

Think they would let you send the handguards and pistol grip?

Think they would let you send the handguards and pistol grip?

you mean the "handles/insulated/cooking utensile/wood" and the "handhold/folding cot/plastic"?

I figured I'd update everyone, I received the pics and I will post them tonight after I get out of work.

BTW, thanks EOD, and stay safe over there!
