Unable to open new thread

Not sure where to post... I just logged on to AKfiles today and tried to post an intro in the general discussion forum but could not start new thread.

Got started shooting AK's back in 1984 while with USMC. I am former USNR and USMCR.. My day job is Internal med / critical care physician in New York State. Started simple "rifle building" (mostly parts assembly" in late 90's. Have "built a number of AR15 types and recently 2 AK's off Mid 80"s Norinco platforms. Recently picked up 2 Romanian PSL's ans am working on customizing those. I actually end up here looking for PSL stocks.

I help to instruct Tactical Medicine at Tactical Response in Camden Tenn. and am a mod in the battlefield medicine section of GOTX forum.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could open my access to thread stating (probable a rarity for me.. but occasionally it could happen..) and also transfer this post to the appropriate place on the forum.
