WTK: SLR-106 and Bulgarian serial number convention

Does the Bulgarian’s alphanumeric serial number style follow expected conventions? In other words, is a serial number starting with BA older than one with BD?

Is a SLR-106 with SN BD46XXXX newer than one with SN AD47XXXX?
