romy krinks?

Has anyone seen the romy krinks (or krink look-a-likes?)? These are supposedly made in Romania and shipped here as pistols, not reassembled here from kit form. I looked at one briefly at a gun shop last week. Finish was typical rough looking. Had a spot welded muzzle nut. Anyone know anything about their reliability or lack thereof?

Yea, don't post much here. Just absorbing the wealth of information. I guess they are not really krinks. Called a Drako or a Champion. Info is sketchy on these at best. That's the reason I was asking. I figure if anyone would know, it would be the people on this forum. Maybe post should have been in the General AK section.

Some were imported as the champion pistol. Have not handled one to know quality. Chances are not great.

Bought 1 last yr. the name is changed to draco now, there great and hard to find and have seen them go for up to $800. recently at shows, a few have canted fr. sights but they are great. There is more info on forum just do a search! :D

Just picked up my Romanian Draco "AK-47 Pistol" the other day. As I understand it, it is built from a Romanian AIMR (think that's the model No.) Mine appears bran spankin new and unfired.

Don't think it's anything like a Krinkov (AKS-74U or AKS-47S), but am looking forward to a fun and inexpensive (relatively speaking) SBR project.

I pretty much hate folders, and this is a "toy" anyway, so I'm just going to have a normal rear trunnion installed and used a fixed wood stock.

Gotta find that flash hider though.

How much was the pistol if you don't mind me asking? I have the barrel assembly and most of a military parts kit (not a chopped w/gas block) and was considering building it. But... might just be easier to buy it complete and SBR it.

7.62 is what I wanted. I think there's also 223 and 22lr.

Cost me $465 to get it out the door. Came with a "cleaning kit" and two 30-round magazines.

Hmm, mine is 5.45
