PM's from "unregistared users"

A number of us have gotton PM's from names we don't recogonize...and are identified as an "unregistared user".

They seem harmless enough...I was asked for information concerning back issues of SGN.

Other PM's seem a bit more curious...


How is it possible that an "unregistared user" can PM a member?


You guys got a procedure for dealing with this?

It appears that "unconfirmed users" are restricted from posting but not from using the PM facility.
If anyone gets "oddball" requests, then copy the message to one of us Mod's for an opinion.
Could be spammers or worse.

There are a few new kinds of oddballs that are registering. I find them in the queue awaiting "judgement". The bots that want to peddle their wares are relatively easy to spot. There are some strange ones that do not look like sales spammers OR firearms hobbyists. Those are NOT getting in. I could give less than a sweet fuckall who they are or what their agenda is. If it isn't part or parcel of a genuine interest in being a firearms hobbyist I have a suggestion for them.
