Woundering what the rounds out of your Galil's are. I am at 300-400 with no problems. Have the chance to trade my Galil ARM ORF for a Colt M4 or AK-74 by In-Range with 2400 rounds of ammo, or should I keep the Galil, I already have 4 AR'S and one Colt. Thanks, Jerod

You actually got to 400 rounds?
Make the deal the idiot that wants to trade you the Colt and give him a kiss as you run out the door.

Do the Deal,----You must be blessed !!.
Also amazed you got that many rounds without Issue.

I'd go for the 74 and the rounds...
Depends on the Colt M4 I guess...

Personally, I'd go for the InRange AK-74 and the rounds regardless of the Colt M4...
But I'd even grab the M4 as I ran away from the Galil...
But that's just me...

Well...im the 'idiot' that WAS going to trade my M4 for the Galil. When i inquired about the Galil it sounded very nice, features were listed, sent me a link to Elite Firearms so i could see a gun very similar and stated that he hadnt had any problems with it. I see a 4/17/08 thread started by the seller stating that he got the gun back from ORF and everything was now fine...that indicates that there was a problem at one time.
I know ALOT of people that have Galil's with ORF recievers that were built by In-Range and they are 100% satisfied even after a couple of round counts into the thousands. Im gonna bite the bullet, and buy me an unfired SER II Galil and have peace of mind that In Range is there for me if i EVER have a problem.
ETA: I dont want this post to sound as if mjlynch71 wasnt forthcoming about the Galil or its problems, he did state to me in an email that
'I have heard things about their recievers at ORF but have not had any problems.'
so he clearly let me know there were issues, it was just up to me find out the extent of those issues and thats why im no longer trading. I just cant trade a Colt or an AK74 for a gun included in a group thats had so many problems.

The trade did not go thru, The gun has no problems after getting sent back to ORF to fix the gas port problem, It would FTF every so many rounds, sent it to ORF great service, welded gas port redrilled, now 400 round after sending it back to ORF, runs great, locking shoulders show absoulty no mushrooming if that is what they call it. If interested e-mail at mjlynch71@aol.com. $1,000 or trade for Imbel Fal, DSA Fal, Thompson M1 .45 ACP, HK 9mm MP5 clone.
