It's made to fit Chinese AK barrels. It's not large enough to fit the 308 Saiga without removing metal from the inside of it. The Vepr barrel is based on the heavier RPK barrel. I don't think it would fit.

i called a few places to ask, and never really got a correct response. Leapers (UTG) told me that they dont know due to the rarity of Veprs, so they never even tried them....
One place (davids collectables) told be that YES, for SURE it would fit but the 479 oversized barrel model....

I will keep searching

Rus14, I put one of those on a romy and it pulled down on the gas tube. I cut
some aluminum tig rod to length and shimmed the two halves so it tightened up
properly. I went with the ultimak stuff on my second build, worth the extra
coin, and american made part, not chinese.

I bought one back in January and installed it on a 308 Saiga. I had to remove a lot of metal from the inner mating surfaces to get it to fit. It will work, but will take some time, as you have to grind some, check for fit, grind some, check for fit, etc.

For the price, its hard to beat.
