...and only a test. had this been an actual post, you would have been instructed to tune to a frequency in the ak band for further instructions.

this has been a test of the national ak system.

we now return you to your regularly scheduled forum programming.

There is no "quote" button anymore. Just a "reply" button under each post. Hit that reply button and it autoquotes. :cool:

The Reply w/ quote button will be changed back to 'quote' like it is on the files, too confusing otherwise.

I upgraded the SW to beta 7 and now it's giving me all sorts of problems on the admin side of things.

thus, my shrike will arrive six months after everyone else's and cost me $500 more.

but...at least mine will run!

The SHRIKE deal stunk from day one.

These fine(?) folks used customer deposits for working capital. Now they have too many guys money and are late on delivery. We'll see IF they can even bring the product to market.

I remember fondly your great tales of the unimaginable power of the 5.45mm AK round.

My favorite tale you regaled the ol' AK forum with was your hunting trip to Africa where you used a 5.45 mm cartridge while hunting Cape Buffalo (iirc).

What a fantabulous forum ran the greatest web mistress.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist for old times sake. Valmet Mike was right on in his many posts against Lisl and the likes. They just could not stand it. I myself, was in a bout of clinical depression at the time and would tangle with anyone who deserved it. Those times are gone along with the depressing EX-wife. Life is good and I now behave myself.....usually.

hi ooda! yes, i remember you...and so many other users that eventualy migrated here and to other boards.

i don't know much, but anyone that asks is welcome to my opinion for free. it didn't cost anyone a dime...so take it for what it's worth. (next to nothing!)

i mod at assaultweb (man! how many years have i been there?!?!). i joined when the first band of travellers departed ak-47nutz to form another board. boy, has that place gone thru some changes! basically, i just post in the ak and ar forums that i help out with.

i kinda run the ak side of ar15dotcom with the help of a bunch of talented and knowledgable folks. with the support of the avilas and the ak community, the board has grown into a darn nice place to talk about life, the kalashnikov or just whatever is on your mind.

i would hope that this place develops much along the same lines. jen's cool and most of the fal'ers are nice folks. i shoot in the annual ohio fal match (fall falfest??? i forget what ohfal decided to start calling the event!) and have met many of this board's members there, at bulletfest and at the local gunshows.

i hope i get to meet more of you in the future and look forward to having some fun on this side of the web.
