I need a Smith that will mount the scope base on my receiver ,any suggestions ?

There is a subscriber on Gunboards known as Tigerman that does the installs I believe.

I rather do the tapping myself. Does anyone know of a link to a diagram for the Mosins?

Related: personally do not like the scout set-up! not for long distance, and i'd rather use the iron sights up closer.

Tap and bend the bolt it seems. Thanks.
