I ordered a Yugo RPK from AIM Surplus, for 499. I have not heard anything about these. I was told that they are built on a DCI reciever. I built a Rominan RPK on a DCI reciever, and it is a great reciever. Anybody have any input on the Yugo. Thanks, Jerod

Search the forums, lots of info on the Yugo RPK's...I think almost all positive. $499 is a GREAT price, everyone else has them for $599.

The Yugo RPK kits that I've seen all had pretty deep, wide, and worn rifling grooves, and the metal surfaces of the lands were never smooth. The exterior condition was pretty good, and the crowns are often still crisp, but the bores were a different story. The good news is that you can still buy replacement barrels for them from APEX.
On the other hand these may have been built on new US-made barrels. You should know the answer to this before you buy it.

The rifle came in the other day. Built on a DCI reciever, with a U.S. made barrel. Fit, finish, and cycling are great. Also for $499 you cannot go wrong. It has the century Arms marking, it looks as if century is having others build their rifles, or they have gotten their stuff together.
