Help with PM's

I originally posted this over on the General Discussion Forum & it was suggested I post here:

Alright, I give up....:mad_small

Can someone please give me a hand with the PM function here on the Files? I can receive PM's fine, but almost every time I try to send, reply or forward a PM I get a message asking if I want a receipt for the sent message & then I get this message:
You have turned off private messages. You may not view or send private messages until you turn them on by editing your profile.
After that I usually find that I've been logged out of the Files.
I know I've got PM's turned on - I've tried turning them off & back on to see if it would help (It doesn't). I've got cookies enabled.
Every rare once in awhile I'll get a PM to go through - Maybe one in every 20 or 30 atempts...
Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

It may be your ISP or browser settings causing the problem. If you're using AOL dump their browser and use a stock IE or FireFox. If you're getting logged out then it's something on your browsers end that's not properly storing your login cookie/session.
