Believe it or not... you can use both an underfolder stock and the ubiqitous AK optics rail... The optics rail was surfaced on both the inside and outside to make it thinner, and then raised until it was flush with the receiver cover... also raised the PK-A sight until it cleared the rear iron sight. As demonstrated by a friend taking the rifle for a "test drive", it allows a more "heads up" position.

In order for the stock to fold into place required two small (1/16" deep) reliefs on one side only of the left hand stock rail. No more interference, and no loss of rigidity on the stock.
