Received a letter from the KDOJBOF (Kalifornia Department of Justice Bureau of Firearms). (I have an 07FFL)
It states that after July 1st 2008, An FFL cannot ship a firearm to a Kalifornia FFL without obtaining a "verification approval number" from the KDOJBOF.
In order for me to obtain this "verification approval number" (which will be provided to me in a letter sent by them, not an online system), I must REGISTER with the KDOJBOF. Yeah, that's gonna happen.
The stupidity of this: this approval number lets ME know that the FFL is properly licensed and in the Kali database of persons "authorized" to receive firearms shipments.
This is already covered under the EZCheck system the ATF has that confirms the validity and shipping address of the FFL.
Just like the frog in the pot of water on the stove: turn the heat up a degree at a time, and you can boil him alive.
Live in Kommiefornia? RIBBIT, RIBBIT!
You are freakin' nutz.
