Excellent worksmanship and service from James at CMP Armory.

AMD-63: Centerfire kit, OOW receiver, Tapco piston & G2 FCG.

AMD-65: Tapco kit, OOW receiver, Tapco piston & G2 FCG, Tapco side-folder, Moses Brake.

I had always thought that the double pistol grip set-up looked awkward, but these rifles actually balance very well.

Looking forward to a little range time. My thanks to James. :notworthy

Those 2 look great. Could you tell me about the folder stock? Biggest question is how does it mount? Also how does it feel when compared to a regular stock? Oh, and how does the lock work on it? I was lookin at getting 1, But I want to get info on it first.

Thanks

Hello Scaldwellk,

Sorry for the slow response, not been online for a few days...work keeps getting in the way...:)

The Tapco folding stock mounts (screws) on a standard rear trunion. I have heard that there were complaints posted regarding the durability of this stock, but I like it so far. It is still pretty new and locks up fine, but I guess time will tell after it gets a little use...

The length is a little little longer than a standard AK stock, so it fits me better. I went with the Tapco folder and kept the two pistols grips on the AMD-65 and like how it turned out. James did a great job...:)

Let me know if you have any other questions...:)
