View Thread: Account Activation - Not Activated, Look Here!

We're having a LARGE number of spambot registrations trying to get onto the site, as a result of this we're having to manually approve each and every account.. some days this can be several hundred to go thru and we try to verify each and every one to weed out the spambots. Unfortunately, this also means that sometimes an account that isn't a spambot may be removed as a possible spambot.

If you aren't yet approved try logging out and then back in again.. if it tells you your account doesn't exist, your account got caught as a possible spambot and deleted. So what are you to do? Re-Register, put your location as what state you're in which will help us see that you're not a spambot.

I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but it is better than having a couple hundred new spambots running loose on the site every day posting their garbage.

PS: As some have figured out, you can reach me via ICQ, AIM, Yahoo and MSN Messengers if I'm online.

We do occasionally ban accounts that we believe may be spam bots that got through the registration process - if this includes you, IM me your username and I can resolve the problem for you.

Thanks, I had trouble getting an account here until I emailed the site.

I will add to your advice, if I may be so bold, Madame.

Registrants would do well to put a little more in the personal info slots. Like listing hobbies, occupation.

Spammers are savvy to putting a location. I have had a few that put a state abbreviation and I let them through, only to get spam for my trouble.

As the owner has said, we can have anywhere from ten applicants at a whack to a hundred or more. Depends on how faithful we are to review regularly and how many decide to register here. Screen names that make sense and email account names that look plausible makes the process quick.

vabbleostbc@I am A bot is going to get whacked.

gunlvver@yahoodotcom looks real.

Savvy ?
