I know this is not the right place, but I recently got these camo pants and was wondering if someone here can help me identify them. Or at least tell me where I can post them to get some help and advise. They are dated 1956 and have "RAKA" also on the tag. Thanks

go ahead and post them now. It won't let you start a thread with pics in the
first post. you can in the second or on an edit.

ABL usually stands for Belgian Army in French and Flemish.

ABL = Armee Belge/Belgische Leger

Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it!!

So any idea on what these would exactly be. Other than a pair of belgian camo pants. They appear to to some sort of over camo.

The early Belgian camouflage was only issued to paratroops and paracommando's. Belgium did use general issue camouflage in the Korean War but after that they went to "Moon and Balls" pattern and then to "Brush(stroke)" pattern. Current camouflage is "Jigsaw" pattern and is used throughout the Belgian Army. Moons and Balls was from about 1954 through late 1950's. Brush was used from late 1950's (about 1959) through the 1970's (about 1979).

Those are M1954 overpants. Or more accurate called Para -1954 overpants.

What are they worth?

I'm not sure of price but they are paratrooper only camo but they are overpants which are more common. Belgium is not a huge country. I think that is Moon and Balls which was only issued a few years then Brush came out in the late 1950's.

Brush para overpants go for $35 in good condition and $25 in worn condition. Those are a bit older and weren't made as long.

Unissued they go for $55.

Moon and Balls pattern is said to be 1951 to 1956 so that would be the last year.

Cool thanks. Do you know of any camo forums where there may be a market for these?

I think Brush was designed in 1954 and issued until 1979 and replaced by Jigsaw. My dates aren't exact.
