Hello,
I was wondering if you can put the Saiga rifle stock and put it on the Romanian SAR-1? What parts are involved and how hard is it? Thanks

As long as they both have stamped receivers the stocks should interchange. The problem you will have is with the position of the trigger. The Saiga uses a cam and a special trigger located further back on the action so you can reach the trigger (the sporter stock places your hand farther back than the original P-grip does).

You can stick the Saiga stockin with no problem. If you want to hold it without the SAR-1's p-grip, you'll need to move the trigger assembly as NN said, which would probably require making a new Saiga type linkage or using a Saiga FCG. I see no reason to do this over buying a Saiga. The only use a person had for this method was making CA legal AKs with Saiga stocks and homemade receivers.
