AMD 65 SBR question

I am planning on building an AMD 65 as a SBR. I have already have the forms and am on the fence on wether I should get a sign off from a LEO or go the Living Trust route.

One question I do have is can I order and possess the receiver (not built) before my paperwork comes in or do I have to wait to be approved before I order the receiver? Is there any issue of having a SBR parts kit in the same location as a receiver and not have it assembled?

Is there a step by step guide with what to do in order? I understand the paperwork part but is there an order on how parts have to be ordered?

yes, you can order and posses everything to build the rifle. you need the receiver first so you can put the serial on the form 1.

order receiver. after receipt of receiver, send it out for engraving of personal info (on bottom) and send in form 1 at the same time.
