SLR 101 Folding stock

I just purchased a SLR 101 S rifle a few weeks ago and want to put on a folding stock. Are there any folding stocks out there that I can replace the existing fixed stock with that I can do myself without the need for a gunsmith?

Also I am correct in my undrestanding that to attach and underfolding stock will require some work on the reciever right?

I've looked around and between trying to find the right kind of stock for a Bulgarian, the stocks available don't clearly say what's required to attach the stocks.

The problem you run into is that the receiver is MILLED.


I would contact firing line and see how much they would charge to modify the receiver for a underfolder or even a sidefolder...

I believe Global Trades have some milled underfolders. Yes, your receiver will need to be modified.

Thanks for your responses. It sounds like there isn't much way around even finding a side folder I can attach to my AK without having the reciever worked on. I was hoping not to have to go down that route.

I think you can get milled receiver adaptor blocks for ACE stocks. Not cheap though...

I did another more close inspection of the Ace site. They have milled reciever blocks for attaching their stock. Love the rifle but the grip on the SLR 101 is horrid and the stock, well it dun fold so to each their own. Just glad there are some options. Didn't want to have to take it someplace to have someone grind on it.
