I just bougt the SA M-7 and like it very much but have a couple of basic questions.
the cleaning rod that is attached under the barrel is to short and I can find no attachments on the rifle, what is it there for? I did get the other cleaning rod that comes in the small bag plus the attachments and tools in the black steel container but I figured the one under the barrel is to use in the field.
the sling that came with it will not fit into the front attachment point I am assuming there is some type of clip that I am missing is this so?
what is the purpose of the rear site flipping forward?
can I buy a buttstock extention or should I just get the adapter that allows me to use an AR buttstock? I wonder why the length of pull is not longer if this rifle is made in the USA?
what do I need to get in the way of spare parts or other tools to keep my rifle running through thick and thin?
please do not slam me for my ignorant ?? this is my first "semi-auto sporting rifle" I own lever and bolt action rifles but this is different enough that I wanted to ask someone who knows better than me, its easy to find someone who is familiar with a lever or bolt rifle but I don't know anyone around here who is familiar with military style rifles.
