View Thread: Power was out so I built

The power was out today so I built my tantal and 1 of my yugo m72. Well the barrel came out I soaked it overnight it tranny fluid and I used a case hardened bolt and mobile synthetic and stood back it came out and there was a little smoke where it came from I dont know so I did the second barrel and that one came right out too. I used nodak spud receivers and ak builder rivets both worked great. I had to slighty open the mag well on the tantal but not on the yugo. The bipod was easy I just drove out one pin took out the spring slipped it on the mount that was on the barrel put the pin in and put the spring in after. I didnt get a chance to fill the receiver cover hole because no power to run the mig welder Iam going to have them parked I have been using aluma hyde 2 on my romys it looks good but these are a little different here is a couple of pics . Also niether bolt that came with the 2 kits will headspace correctly they dont match the serial on either gun and were in there own box when I got the kits so I dont know if they were ever headspaced for these guns here is some pics Iam going to post seperate so it doesnt go horizontal.[IMG]http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk299/Comike27/Picture048.jpg

if they do not headspace, adjust headspace before finishing.i have used alumahyde2 and caseys superblue.if you have a sandblaster,if you blast the rifle and blue it,it looks much better than park or paint.i also used a fixed stock receiver and filled in the topcover holes.

Both rpks after I painted them couldnt afford the 125 a gun for the park plus I kinda like building them as cheap as I can I have 360 dollars in each gun total.[IMG]http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk299/Comike27/Picture108.jpg
