View Thread: Good deal or not?
scaldwellk
I picked up a Sig Sauer today. I had to give $100.00 for it. On the side it is marked P6 on the right side of the slide. I can not find any other markings on it. The thing fits my hand good and seems to have good balance.
Does anyone here know anything about these pistols? Please provide info of what I have if you can.
Thanks
LuzRD
according to gunbroker $100 for a sig P6 sounds like a deal to me
most are listed at $300+. the one listing i saw with bids is over$100 and still has 5 days left to the auction
id be happy

I was able to find them on Gunbroker. I seen one auction said that a 226 is the same. If this is true, will a 226 mag fit in a P6?
Also does anyone know if a 40 cal barrel and mag would fit the P6?

Here is what it looks like.

The P6 is the same as a P225, single column mags. The P226 uses double stack mags, no interchange. Dunno about the caliber swap, in any event AFAIK the P220/P225/P245 series single stacks only came in 9mm, .38 super, and .45 so mags would be a problem.
Great deal, cheapest I've seen them lately was at Dans, $260.

Thanks for the info. Is there any info on them out there anywhere?
Would like to know if there is anyone that sells parts and mags.

Copes has factory mags, not cheap.

Promag makes a copy, around $10-15 cheaper but quality unknown.
BTW, notice that weird hammer on your example? Apparently a German Police requested feature, designed to bend easily if dropped. Guess they were worried about it going off if the hammer got whacked.

$100? Screaming deal, if you ask me. Was it a private deal or are there more available?

KernelKrink thanks for the info. Man those mags are up there in price.
Max-guy it was a private deal and it was the only one.

Sweet deal Scaldwellk! I really like the way those look.

Yeah, you would think with the German Police surplusing the pistols the spare mags would have come in cheap too. I have seen the Sig mags a few bucks cheaper elsewhere, but all the ones I checked were out of stock. Not much, like maybe $4 and the shipping charges would have probably made up the difference unless you were stocking up in bulk. The ProMags run in the $20 or so dollar range, but I've seen mixed reviews on proMags in general.

I'll give you $110.00 for it!
