Wrong cleaning rod

2 weeks ago I put an order into K Var for some AK parts. The parts arrived and I will say they did a great job of packing them.

I ordered a AK74 cleaning rod but they sent me an AK47 cleaning rod. The invoice listed an AK74 rod but there's no way a .270 headed rod is going to fit down a .22 bore.

I sent them an email asking them to send me a return shipping label and to send me the rod I ordered. I feel it's not right for me to pay postage to send them the rod back when it's not what I ordered. I've received no reply from K Var.

If K Var reads this please send me the correct part that I ordered and paid for.

Still waiting to hear from K-Var. I've sent them 4 emails. Seems like crappy customer service. I hope they decide to reply to the emails and send me the part that I ordered!

If I don't hear from them today I'll call them tomorrow.

I received an email from K Var about 20 minutes ago saying that they sent out the correct rod yesterday and want me to ship them back the wrong rod they sent me. Apparently they received my emails but chose not to reply until today when I sent an email to a different address at K Var.

I guess I wasn't clear when I asked them for a return shipping label...

Anyway, it looks like they are trying to set things right so I'll delete this post 2 days after I receive the correct rod from them. No use kicking a dead horse...

K-VAR is not real big on communication but they will fix their mistakes.

Well they said they had sent me a correct cleaning rod a week ago Monday. I'm starting to think it aint coming. 8 days seems like a long time to Fed-Ex something.

Yeah K Var "K-VAR is not real big on communication" or customer service for what I can see. "Service sells" was something that was drilled into my head when I worked retail.

Guess I'm just "talking to myself" (and the 67 other folks who have read this thread)

Well one of the members over at the FAL Files sent me a correct cleaning rod - that was really good because it appears that K-Var lied about sending me a correct replacement rod and is not going to send the correct rod.

I looked at a SLR-106 at a local gunshop and I was going to buy it until I learned that K Var and Arsenal are joined. Their loss. I won't do any business with them EVER.

I feel they are a bunch of dishonest, lying jerks. I wonder how much money they've lost over people reading this post? I bet they could give a rat's arse.

How they stay in business is beyond me.

I bought from them in the past, their shipping is outlandish...

Have not bought from them since, wanted stuff they had, but found it with others..and my money went to those others...

maybe we're just too damn crazy for them. ;)

I'm sure they will straighten it out if you call them. I've never had an problems with them but they are expensive and their shipping is designed to get you to buy enough to make it worthwhile for them.

I guess I usually do.;)

I too was not impressed with KVAR's customer service. Perhaps, when the barrel ban finally grabs hold and the availability of parts kits dries up, then maybe they will pay attention to their customer base.
