Buds Gun Shop, Paris KY

I ordered an AES-10B from Buds gun shop of Paris KY. I told the salesman that I would order from him if he would check the rifle for canted gas block and front site. He said no problem. Well, got it today. Not only is the front site canted but the bipod is bent to the right. I hate it when these guys lie to you. They tell you what you want to hear to get you to order from them. Never again!

Update: emailed them on friday and received a call back on the following wednesday. They agreed to pick the gun up and give me a full refund including shipping.

I doubt these most of these guys know what canted means. I check their site often and I never see any milsurp stuff.

You may be right, but he sure acted like he knew exactly what I meant.

Did you walk back in and point it out to them. If you havent fired it yet I would tell them that the deal had hinged on the condition of the rifle and since it doesnt meet the criteria the said they would chech for you want another. If youve been shooting it go back and tell them they have to fix it.

Thats why Im building my own, anything unsatisfactory and I only have myself to blame.

I'm in michigan, so I can't bring it to them or I would. Also the receiver cover is dented on top and I was supposed to get two fourty round mags. Got one fourty and one thirty. I'm going to just try and get my money back on this one and have my unissued Romanian RPK kit built.

i placed an order through them which they said would ship immediately. a week later i called for a tracking number and they didnt have one. i called back that day and cancelled the order. the guy went ballistic on me and said id have to pay a 10 or 15 percent (cant remember) restocking fee. he first claimed it had shipped. i asked for a tracking number and then he said it hadnt. but he would still charge the restocking fee as he said they had already moved it from the warehouse to the shop or some lie like that. i informed him that federal law governing mail and internet order mandated that he had to return the money in full if the item had not shipped. he got pissed and hung up saying he would never do business with someone in maryland. i checked and the money was refunded to my credit card. and i notice now that they wont ship guns to maryland now.

Thats my pet gripe. A larger store I frequent and spend excessively in has been doing me like that for two years now. The owner hunts with me and all that jazz..well I was talking to a Century rep and he asks if I got all the mags they sent with my PSL..I am like yeah the one...He goes you should have recieved two..I then ask about a couple of other rifles they sell..

So far this store, and my "friend" have screwed me out of about a dozen mags!!!

So far I have spent in excess of 15,000.00 in their store.. No lie. And this is how they were treating me, then even going hunting with me..what the hell..

Bunch of garbage.

The one Darrell has is an AES-10 not an AES-10B. There should be 1 or 2 of them at the Grand Rapids show this weekend. March 1-2. I will be set up there with lots of AK parts too. :wink_smal

I ordered my Century Yugo M70AB2 from Southern Ohio Guns and although, most importantly, I got a nice specimen, it came with no accessaries except one 30 round mag. I thought these were supposed to come with two mags , a bayonet, and a cleaning kit. Love the gun though!

Both of my Yugo M70AB2's came with 2 mags - 1 BHO, 1 generic EU - and nothing else. Some folks have also recv'd the WASR manual with theirs, but unlike the WASRs - nothing else.

Also - FWIW, stealers have been short-selling the included mags (and accessories) since the Bush I ban as they can make an extra buck on the mag sales. Every CHICOM AK I sold in the mid 80's came from the factory with 3 NIW mags.

By the early 90's, these same CHICOM AKs at the gunshows were seen with 1 NIW mag. The stealers had the other mags they pilfered out of the boxes FS on the adjacent table...
