View Thread: DEMILLING?!?
Buco
Just got my M92 today and am in process of demilling. Having trouble removing lower hand guard. Have flipped tiny lever over 180 and have very little movement after tapping piece that actually holds the hand guard wood in place... Anyhelp would be appreciated!
Thanx, Buco Bob

You've gotta work the lower handguard retainer forward first. Just take your time. When lower handguards are hard to pull forward out of the receiver, I ususally try twisting twisting it left and right with my right hand as I push forward while holding the receiver with my left hand. Just be patient and grunt a little while you do it. It'll come off.
And somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "demilling" the process of cutting the receiver at the front and back for import/export without the receiver? I think what he meant to say was "disassembling".

Make sure that you have the lever flipped the correct way. I think that krinks are opposite regular AK's, but I'm not sure about Yugo krinks.
In regard to "demilling", the rifle had to be demilled to a certain point in order to be considered parts and not a rifle. Further demilling is still necessary. Rivets have to be removed, the barrel has to be removed from the trunion, etc.

Bret you were correct. I was flipping the lever the same way I do on my pol U/F and it would not move! Tried the oposite way and Walaaa!
Thanks, Buco
