The romanians have made RPK's with the usualy wire-style folding stock. I think many of us have seen pics of them in service in Iraq.
Is this the same wire stock as on the Romy AK47's? Or is it tailor made to fit the AES-10b's bulged RPK reciever?

The RPK receiver is thicker sheet metal with smaller inside measurements. To fit a Romanian folding stock to an RPK I had to file both sides and the bottom on the butt stock block that goes in to the receiver. I just filed enough to take the black park finish off. It was a puch bottom one so I couldn't go too deep in the bottom because of the spring but I didn't have to take off too much. I also used digital calibers to measure everything.

Thanks!
I didn't know there are two types of Romy wire folding stock.
I thought there was: Romy-style, Easy German style, (nearly identical) and East German-made-but-sold-to-Egypt crutch style side folder.
So if there are two types of Romy folding stock, which would be better to use on an RPK?

There are two Romanian side folders. One has a push button. This the only type I have narrowed for the RPK receiver and it's easy. It has a coil spring in the button.
The other type has a lever like the East German side folder. This has a long spring accross the bottom. The lever might make it more difficult to narrow for the RPK receiver. Some metal needs to be removed from both sides and the bottom. Just take the black park finish off with a file to where it's down to shiny silver metal.

So the push-button type would fit easier you think? Okay, I'll look for one of those.
Probobly get one when I get a 75rnd drum too.
