Forum won't remember me

Everytime I come to the forum, I have to log back in. I have selected the "Remember me" option on the login screen, and I have cookies enabled. This is the only forum that it happens in -- it works just fine in the other dozen or so I visit on a regular basis.

Any ideas?

I am no computer or Windows expert and I don't play one on da innanet.

From your evidence given, it sounds like your operating system (Windows) is not keeping cookies from AKFiles. Why it would JUST fail on here is just too wierd. I have never ran into that. I stay logged into this board almost all the time. Never a "drop" unless I clear all cookies from my browser.

SWMBO will be back around in a few days. Maybe she will offer some clues. Maybe post this up in general discussion. You MIGHT even get an intelligent response. If you get trolled, I will do a little axe swinging for you.

The most common solution to this problem is to clear ALL your cookies. The evidence is that IE isn't accepting this cookie tends to say your cookied cache is somehow corrupt.

In IE, Tools->Internet Options->Delete Cookies

It's also possible that your hard drive needs a chkdsk. Open a command prompt window, and key in "chkdsk /f <Return>" It'd be best to try this before deleting cookies.

Other things may need to be tried.

Another thought - download & install firefox. The problem should go away when using firefox.
