This is what I got from the Florida Senator Bill Nelson.
We need to get him out !

expiration of the Assault Weapons Ban.

I support the constitutional right to bear arms. However, I also
support efforts to reduce gun violence and promote firearms safety. As a
member of Congress, I voted for banning assault weapons such as AK-47's.
It is imperative that such firearms are kept out of the hands of felons. I
will keep your thoughts and concerns in mind when the Senate debates the
extension of the Assault Weapons Ban.

Unfortunately, we need BOTH of our senators out. The Republicans put up such a wienie to oppose Nelson that most people decided they'd rather have a known enemy, Nelson, in the Senate rather than an untrust-worthy part-time "friend". He managed to talk out of both sides of his mouth enough that he killed any chance of being elected. Just like a certain Republican presidential candidate is doing.
