Check the classifieds and the forum over at subguns.com. Prices vary widely, an amnesty bring back milled is going to be a lot more than a converted Maddi stamped for example. AKs are kinda limited on availabilty as well, not many were available for conversion before the 86 MG ban so not a whole lot got converted.

offhand, a converted one ( one that was a commerical semi-auto) will set you back anywhere between 10-15K. the last time I saw a honest to goodness AK, amnesty one, was somewhere in the 20K range.

I saw one at the last gun show i went to in January. They wanted $23,000 for it. It looked pretty worn, too.

in AZ ya can find milled Viet bring backs around $15K the last SAR show had around 30 of em at various tables, stamped Were running about a grand less at the same tables, they don't have much value here as there is absolutally no shortage of transferable Pre 86 AKs or AKMs ..... now I was pleased to see the Thompsons were starting at $25K up to around $10k more with original drums

Least expensive I have seen was about $13k, a converted fixed stock Polytech in 223. Underfolders are about $500 to $700 more. Krinks in $16 to $18k range.

Nope not yet. Don't have the 15K. Was wondering how much more it would have been if I traded the AC-556 in. Apparently it would be another 10K. :(
Thanks for the info guys,
Rob
