I propose a new section on the AK files, "Beater AK's"

How bout it Jen, anyone?
A section that we can discuss our "Beater AK's" and how bad we have mistreated them and how much we havent cleaned them.
How bout it? I know there are a few here that would enjoy it. :D

I'd definatly have some stories for that section...

I wish I had that problem, I can't afford to finish the two I have yet. I want a couple more, but not gonna fuck with a kit thats gonna cost me over a hundred bucks, plus us parts. Now, if you wanna donate one :sidegrin_ I would be happy to play with it...

I guess by first AK is the beater, I took a Romy AK kit and decided to build it as cheap as possible. So that means an AK pistol (no US parts). Didn't want to have a 16" barrel so I cut it down to 9", moved the gas block, didn't use the front site and got the hand guards at different lengths. Welded a piece of steel over the back after cutting the rear trunnion tab off. It is rough but I still simile when I take it out shooting, muzzle flash and blast is unreal.

i would like to build an ak,but hands don't work so well with small parts because of back injury(no feeling in hands)if i could purchase completed receiver,i could probally handle the rest(any suggestions on where to pick one up would be appreciated:huh_small )and snakebyte for you i would consider chipping in on the snakebyte ak beater fund.:small_gri tdbrown

O yea, I have an AR and a AT-9 I do that to . It keeps the rest of them in line.
