View Thread: Vids from the Waco / Tiger Valley Shoot

We attended the Tiger Valley Shoot this past weekend - long drive from El Paso (650 miles) but certainly worth it. Lots of shooting, good comaraderie, and nice weather.

Met a few folks from the 1919a4.com board - Swedish_Meat and his friend Ed from the Beaumont / East TX area brought several of their beltfed Brownings

Here are some pics & vids -

Our spot was right next to my dealer Luis (South TX Tactical) and that's Marty shooting his water-cooled Maxim. Also my Ramo 1919 Browning. We love beltfeds! Took an HK21 that I recently bought but it just wouldn't work. After getting home I did a little tweaking, so it should be running soon. Will post more vids when that happens

You must either make some serious money, or put every dime you have towards guns. Everything you build just amazes me, and the stuff you shoot is SWEET!!!

Fal Grunt & Lex -

I have been blessed with an enjoyable job and a decent income, and yes most all of it goes into firearms of one sort or another or ammo. I only hope I will be able to afford ammo when I retire - 52 now and starting to show and feel it - options taper off at a given point. So if you want to do it, do it full bore and do it now!

I finally got my '91 beltfed running earlier tonight. It's faster than my '91 but there's a way to slow it down (#17 locking piece) Compare the first 51K vids to how slow it ran at the Waco shoot, and now it eats cheap weak surplus (that was an extension of the bolt carrier mod to weigh/slow it down)

And while you're at it, check this out (not mine)

Yup that's a .308 sticking out the front - talk about extreme!

Well I got my "Poor Man's '21" running - took alot of work and several mods. Also, the right leg on the bipod collapses (need to fix that soon as I get time) so it's unsafe, and a real handful trying to shoot it offhand. Here's the result

After the bipod project, it'll be time to SLOW THIS SUCKER DOWN. I cannot afford 28 cents per round at this rate

Now that (the above) is just silly....... and obnoxious... but to each his own.

The 21 is pretty sweet. I'd love to get buy one of those someday! (if that someday comes, look me up :))

Most all of my disposable income does go to guns and ammo... unfortunetly thats about $100 a month. Kinda sucks...

Hopeing to pick up some machine skills with my grandfather this summer and be able to do some work myself for some projects. He's one of those crazy machinists that does trig in his head and can do alot of measurements by eye. Is that nuts... it is... but I kid you not...

:) If im ever out west and I have some free time... im gonna track you down, maybe come out for a waco shoot sometime.
