Different colored stock set.

I see that Kvar has 3 choices for stocks..black, plum, and green but I have never seen an AK sporting anything other than black. Anyone care to share a picture of their AK in a different dress?

The soviets used the "plum" before the black synthetic stocks..they came after the early AK74 laminated wood. They are of the same design as the black ones that came with the AK103 current series of military 5.45 and .223 models.
Green is just something for the american market and likely made in the USA.
the plum stocks are quite popular for those that dont want an all black AK.

The plum is very unique. I like it but will probably stick with black since it is much cheaper to pick up matching black magazines.

BTW, http://www.k-var.com/ had the plum 5.45x39 russian mags for $29 each last week. I think they are sold out, however I'm willing to bet that since the plum stock sets and kits have sold well, there will be more of these deals on the mags later in the year.

I tend to agree. K-Var usually has a pretty good idea how much the market will bare on the pricing of goods. I was a little surprised how low they priced the plum mags. I can only figure they see more coming down the pike.
