A question and idea for jen and fellow members, how about a raffle for a romanian dragnov for this site? FAC carries them, sell tickets at 20.00 each. do you think we have enough members to make this work or maybe a AK from FAC,any input is welcome or other ideas.ok guys put those thinking caps on lets see what we can come up with if jen thinks this will work.

Seeing there was a raffle on the falfiles that had a drawing on Halloween, how bout a raffle here that has a drawing on Thanksgiving or around Christmas? If there were enough people that wanted to donate prizes it would make it interesting. Maybe first place could be a romanian dragunov or some other AK variant. Of course the raffle would probably be popular if there were a number of prizes? Have you contacted Jen about this? Also who would run the raffle and what would the money be used for? Would the money be used for operating expenses of the site or for prizes, etc? Raffles are always fun. Also maybe it would be a good way to get more sponsors on board for the akfiles. Maybe prizes from FAC or AIM surplus. Or even gunsmithing services from Troy at Inrange or from Chris at AKusa. Just a thought and I gotta say bill3542, sounds like a raffle would be a good idea and hopefully Jen and the other members here would think it was a good idea too. :small_gri
We're working on it ;)
We're going to be switching over to a dedicated T1 line sometime within the next 2 months so any funds raised would end up going to pay the +-$500 / month fee for the dedicated T1 line we'll be leasing along with server / software upgrades and other such expenses.

Sounds good jen,the reason i mentioned a dragnov is that most folks here already have a AK and would probably prefer the dragnov as there thought of as the ultimate AK but your the boss keep us informed as to when it will happen.
