The only place you can get US made Galil gas pistons is from Arizona Expert Arms. They are currently the only distributer of this new product. The pistons are CNC machined on both a lathe and mill from stainless steel and are then tumbled to remove all burrs. In order to install, simply punch out the existing roll pin, remove the non US gas piston, drill a new hole through the piston using the hole in the bolt carrier as a guide, and re-install roll pin. Piece of cake.

What is the difference between Those and the AK piston?

The Ak piston is basically a "dog bone" shaped shaft which is threaded on one end and has a grooved head on the other. The Galil piston is simialar but it also incorporates an additional feature in the center of the shaft which acts as a guide for the piston. If you go the www.azexarms.com and look under the Galil section, you will see the "guide" in which i am referring to. Compare this to a picture of an Ak piston, and you can't miss it.

They are different because the gas tubes are different. If you look at an AK gas tube you will notice it has crimps down the length of the tube to guide the piston. A galil gas tube is cylindrical and doesn't have the crimp guides.
