There has been some recent controversy about the Akfiles becoming a little "unruly, profane, and juvenile." Rules have been suggested and/or enforced with opposing sides coming down on either the need for "Free Speech" or a need of a little "law and order." Well, I think both sides can be accommodated.
A possible solution
We need our own "Dumping Brass" section to clean up the Akfiles. Allow a forum for a little more "heated and lively" debate, humor, and general banter." And also relegate and contain this type of adult exchange to a "private room" of the files, so that the rest of our house is in order. Just like the FALfiles has set up next door.
One of my favorite authors once said, "private morality won't long survive public squalor." We can't continue to let the law of the jungle rule the roost. The few bad apples will create an envirornment where everybody thinks its normal to act like the lowest common denominator. Just look at the American public school system. People, we don't want to sink to that level.
Nobody is going to be happy with a whore house or a monastery for a gun website.
It might not be perfect for everybody, but it allows all to co-exist under one roof. You can forget about the porn, though. That ain't gonna happen.
