posting photos

I looked around and could not find any instructions on how to post photos in a thread. Can you help me out (I am sort of a computer dumb bell)? Sorry if I missed something.

If it's a photo stored on your own PC, then use the "attach files" box (below where you type a reply).
The maximum size allowed is 100kb.
Note that this takes time, so wait to ensure the file is uploaded.

If it's from elsewhere, then look above the text box 7 there's a yellow square with miniature mountains in the bottom half (can't you tell I'm ignorant on this too). This has something to do with attaching pic's from another site but I dunno how to do it :straightf

You need to go to photobucket.com or one of the other free picture hosting sites. Once you set up an account you can then upload your pictures to photobucket. Once they are there, each photo will have a link associated to it, on photobucket the link is right below each thumbnail. This URL is then copied to your clipboard. Photobucket has a button to do this, it can be done manually by highlighting the link and pressing "ctrl" and "c" on the keyboard.

Now go to the thread you want to post the picture to and press the "go advanced" button at the bottom. Click the button EM referred to when the advanced editor loads and a window pops up. Paste your URL there (get a cursor on the line and press "ctrl" and "v" on the keyboard) and click OK. The software then automagically downloads the picture from photobucket and places it in your post every time someone reads the thread.
