romanian 75 round drum

This is a top load style. I can see that it is but it looks like it has dummy loads in it, and as far as loading it there is a spring mechanism that won't allow my Lula loader to work its magic.....

does the big lever on the front of the drum have anything to do with the loading. I am really confused. anyone have suggestions or experience with THIS particular drum.

You have to cam the action for every round as I remember it. This is the easiest: Spread out your hand and palm flattened put on the front of the drum. The lip of the crank should be along side your hand, then take your tumb and place on other side of feed lips. Pull action toward your thumb for ever round that you put in. This is a bad description, but you get the idea once you try it. Have fun, its a blast!

Thanks guys. I figured it out. The PDF file helped

I wasn't pulling on the big lever on the front of the drum far enough. I didn't want to break it.

I did it easiest by putting the drum between my thighs with the front facing my right thigh, and pulling up (counterclockwise) on the lever and inserting one round, then releasing the lever and pulling up on it again before the next round is inserted.
Worked great!!!
