Hi,

To start off, this forum is great and posses a wealth of knowledge. It makes starting one of these projects much easier and helps with fewer mistakes. Now for my question. I've been workikng on an amd 65. Does anyone have a close up of the rear trunion that is already installed in receiver? I want to make sure I get the thing positioned correctly. I'm unsure how far in it goes and how the receiver cover sits on the top of the trunion. Side view and top view would be great if anyone has any pix. I already searched through the forum and found a few but they are not close enough to see the detail I'm looking for.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Vince

Use your top cover to locate the rear trunnion, ( it fits behind the first bump in the rear of the trunnion) the trunnion should be flush to the rear of the receiver. You can file the receiver flush if it sticks past the trunnion, if it is to short file the front of the top cover.

This is the best pic I could come up with.
