I ordered 7.62x39 this morning and received shipping confirmation this evening. Yep, price isn't what it used to be, but its a darn sight better than what is being asked at local gunshows.
AK47Man
The Gunshow I went to recently had this same ammo selling for $6.00 a box. What a scam..!

My quote: "Under $100 by Christmas. Given my prior 90 day prediction coming true in under a week, I'll even trim the under $100 prediction to say, August. You heard it here first."
I may have gotten a bit carried away, but we'll see. The lesson here is that as buyers we have some control over what we pay. Listen to the dealers and their shills posting on forums, panic buy, and you'll be assured of high prices for some time. Panic buy now and you'll look like a codhead in a couple months. Relax, settle down, understand what caused an interruption in supply, understand that you are being fed a bunch of bullshit by people who want to profiteer, be patient, and you'll get the ammo at $100/1000, maybe less. There will likely be another glut of this crap at year end.

Well, you can thank all the panicking asshats for causing that. Do any of you think for a minute that SG can't literally get boatloads of this stuff? They raised the price not because they can't get it, but because they know that panic buying wingnuts will pay it. This is classic market economics. The price was set by SG at their good profit point. Then there was the sheeple panic stampede so SG will raise the price to whatever level they can get from silly sheeple. The beauty of it is the sheeple are going to cause greedy wholesalers to over order. Then, once the panic driven sheeple have more than they need stockpiled there will be a glut of this stuff on the market. At that point I will stock up. Hilarious.

Tks Kevin. SG doing their carnie butthole act. Their price will come down if we don't pay it. And we won't have to as the ammo is available and will become more available. I find that SG engages in cheesed!ck business practices right out of the carnie textbook:

Good man Gunbug. If everyone did that for two weeks the prices would drop. If the sheeple would just shoot up their panic bought $150/1000 (which for some sheeple that means about a year or more) before buying more, we'd make my $100 August prediction. This profiteer upping of the Wolf price by 40% is no surprise. Just don't buy from the SG carnies until they get back to $113 and they will, sooner than you think. If all of us would simply refuse to buy the crap until it hit, say $115, price competition would kick in and we'd see specials for it under $100.

And just what do you attribute this to?

This 1 year chart of gold prices looks just like K-VAR's kit prices.
Bwua Bwuaahahaha! (laughing maniacally).
It's not just ammo, bro. The fiat paper, so called American dollar, is pretty much worthless printed paper. And is becoming more so everyday, get over it. Tell your boss you need a raise. And remember:

Wolf ammunition is made of gold? I am my boss. Tell your mom you need money for a night class in economics at the local community college. Maybe they'll throw in a comic book explaining gold and commodity markets. Ho Ho Ho (chuckling like Santa).
