I posted a number of places here that Chicken Little alarmist nitwits, dealers, and dealer shills would look foolish in "60 days" when 7.62x39 was again cheap and available. Well, I was wrong. The people panicking, spreading silly rumors, and buying up overpriced 7.62x39 don't need to wait 60 days to feel foolish. They can feel foolish now. My local Academy is jammed up with Monarch and Sportsmans Guide and Midway are jammed up with it. SG has Wolf for $103 per 1000 with the coupon and $113 with the coupon for "Classic". Now if you don't listen to the Chicken Little nitwits, dealers, and shills, the price is going to drop more and we'll get better deals because there will be mountains of this stuff to follow.

However, those of you who are panicky nitwits, PLEASE rush out and load up on everything Academy, Midway, and SG has. See, I want these people to buy all their stock up so they place more big orders thinking this sales velocity is going to continue. Then, when these wholesalers are stuck with large quantities of the stuff, and there are shiploads of it waiting, and start heavily discounting it, me and the rest of the rational sentient shooters will buy it cheap.

2 delivery dates SINCE MY OWN ORDER have come and gone, there SAYING Aughust 11th now, but I am sure that will change sometime around the 10th.

I hapily paid $100 shipped to get 500 rounds of ammo from a suplier who had it in stock BECAUSE I WANNA SHOOT not dable in the stock market.

The only reason I am posting this is because there are some VERY mis-informed "people" out there still trying to create some kind of scare about ammo, here is the real scoop from the government (for once they actually did cause something I blame them for)

A while back a certain company was found to be importing their FULL AUTO ak varient rifles from a place that starts with C and ends with A, rather than fine them and shut them down our government actually signed a contract with them to produce arms for the new iraqi army and police, (for free) I dont remember the exact number but it was around 40,000 weapons. The same company was also to build the ammo for said weapons, but they had nowhere near that kind of production level, some three months before their deadline they began to outsource ammo production, even with that said they were still WAY below on ammo (about 1.5 million rounds SHORT) so rather than face the U.S. government they bought all the ammo they could from anywhere they could. In a six month span they purchased or had produced 15 million rounds of ammo!! This mass bulk buying was all that made this scare happen in the first place. I have ammo, all local shops have ammo, and so do most internet shops. Problem solved

I saw a stockpile of 8 years of ammo, once, and of the approx. 200,000 rounds none were ever fired, and the camel chaser that had it died just like he had no ammo, use your brain and training for survival and you will prevail, let fear take over and you will lose, just with a bigger pile of ammo.

Go up about seven posts and read before wanking. You see that font that looks funny with "http" in front of it? Those are links you can click on. Search the places I gave you. I also provided a link to a catalogue coupon to save another $10. Do I have to burp you too? I know Academy has it because I talked to them on the phone. The guy told me they had a pallet of it in the back for $2.81/20 (not $10/20) for Monarch. Still high, but they have plenty. Guys on other forums are reporting that they are receiving it from Midway. I know SG has it (unless they are lying again) because I ordered a case of it yesterday, they assured me they had it, lots of it, and it was not back ordered. Do you know how to search the net? Go to Midway's site, Cabela's site, Natchez site, and Academy and you'll find what I'm talking about, unless everyone is lying about having this ammo cheaper.....than the liars on the net forums claiming there will be no more.

My backorder from SG for 7.62FMJ, which was only a week or so old, has been given a UPS tracking number.

Remington just made another run of 7.62x39 brass and ammo.Remington makes the absolute best brass in this caliber.They make it with small primers and it last longer than any other brass in this caliber.Not a bargain if you don't reload but Remington hasn't made any for while so I'm glad to see them run off some more now.Remington chose small primers before SAAMI settled on large primers for the cartridge.Federal switched from small to large primers when SAAMI published specs for 7.62x39.Winchester makes the weakest brass for this cartridge.

Yes but the shit sandwich thing is YOUR deal. I'm not taking a bite because we agree on August. Just want to be clear on that. As for 5.45, I thought about getting that calibre but didn't. I have about five ARs and three AKs. I think that the 5.45 is only used by the Russians and their satellites. Some of the Warsaw Pact satellites that did or would use it are now NATO and 5.56. Everyone else is 7.62x39. I think the 7.62x39 is a slick little cartridge for 300 and in and I like .30 cal. I'm a big 7.62 NATO fan, see my creation below; kills hogs dead. I think ammo for the 5.45 will always be available, but it may die a slow creeky death over years. A Russian trade embargo for whatever reason would put the kabosh on 5.45 more than 7.62.

Thanks Blackmore. USGI stock, that I cut down to minimum LOP, fitted a Pachmayer decelerator pad, NM mods to ferule, and bedded with Devcon Plastic Steel. Filled the selector and reenforced the forend with it to eliminate flex. Also moved the USGI swivels to the side. I painted in in a pattern to match the country where I shoot hogs, boar, and javelina. The paint was Brownells Alumahyde II. Awesome stuff that has held up really well. I patterned a bit of it by pulling fishnet hose (a suggestion of the wife actually) over the stock. Added a Smith Ent. muzzle brake and ARMS18 (new style). Also added a Smith extended bolt release, which is the best accessory devised for an M1A or M14.

Also, I added a rail segment to the foreend, reenforced with Devcon that I use for a ARMS32 qd bipod mount with Harris 6-9 leg notch swivel, and for a Surefire taclight in a WMF mount for busting them at night. This thing will shoot 2 MOA with RG and right at 3 MOA or under with SA if I do my part. Down to 1.5 MOA with Portugese FNM. It's about the same o/a length as a SOCOM (1/4" longer) but I kept extra fps and energy of the 18" barrel, plus the muzzle options of the original milspec front end. Handy about the size of an M1 carbine, low recoil due to the pad and very efficient SEI brake, low weight. I like 10 rd. mags in it. It rolls them pigs ;) Also, doing it yourself, while taking a bit of time, is pretty satisfying.
