anyone know the lenth of an amd gastube

i dont have one in front of me and need to compare lenths to another tube i got sitting here.

outside dimension of the tube ( removed from rifle ) is just a hair ( less than a 1/32) over 5 3/4 " thats with a tape measure as my child seems to have run off with my calipers

is that an " exact " enough dimension ? I figure there is probably that much tolerance anyway ... but I can get my calipers and give you a better figure if you need ...

The gas tube off my SAR-1 fit on my AMD-63 build, and vise versa.

dimension you gave was close enough.the one i got sitting in front of me is a ultimak and is exactly5.7500in

The AMD-63 uses a normal gas tube length.

The AMD-65 uses a shorter gas tube for use with the shorter 130mm gas piston. The AMD-65 shares this shorter gas tube with the Hungarian SA-85.

There were some, though not all, of the Hungarian SA2000M single-stack AKs that used the shorter gas tube also.
