OK...so here are the three faces of my SAR-1 I got in 2001.
As you can tell...I need another one!!!!! The last pic is it's current configuration; I built the stock from steel, extended magazine release lever, Extended safety release/bolt hold open selector lever, and the FSB welded to gas block. I also put on an Entreprise Arms 'post ban' muzzle brake (set screw type), ventilated steel upper, FSB welded to gas block.
I just put a rail on the bottom of the gas block to accomodate the Xenon light I have. I am going to try and fabricated a dual clamping FSB rail system too!

I'm almost ashamed to show mine--they're for shooting, and I have a tendency to go with what works, and ignore the appearance. Here's probably the prettiest one I have: a FEG SA2000M which I modified. I gave it to my daughter to replace her M1 Carbine which was stolen. Factoid: her brother has one which I modified to take hi-caps but which has a Choate skeleton stock. The 2 guns have consecutive serial numbers!

Mine is from Jayson at IGF and is a OOW receiver with: Russian AK-74M scope mount (original), side folding polymer stock set with trunnion and rivets (original from Tantal) and a Bulgarian AK74 parts kit (new). This is the nicest rifle I own and I am very happy with it!

Nice rifle. I like the underfolders better than the sidefolders. Do you have any problem with sighting using the underfolder stock? I've used a Norinco Type 56s, and a Romanian sidefolder, and both work just fine, but many people complain about them.
Hopefully they will be legal again this fall, and there will be enough votes for the people who vote against the sunset extension that we'll nail the coffin shut permanently and folding stocks will be legal for all of us.

Actually I'm in Canada.
They are leagal here....except you have to had it "Grandfathered" in 1998 or so. New shooters may not own an AK. Our laws suck just as much as some of yours do.
You guys think you have it bad? We have to pin our 30 round mags so they only hold 5 rounds. I guess it'll make the criminals think twice about using a single rivited 5/30 mag for a crime......
It's not bad to shoot. Not as comfortable as my new Russian AK47. But the cool factor is way high!!

Here's mine. I have to give credit where credit is due. I got this photo from USMC03 before this thread was started on AKfiles.
Using Microsoft Paint, I "converted" the top rifle to an Arsenal SA M7 Carbine. The bottom rifle, of course, still depicts a standard Arsenal SA M7 or SA M7S.
That a nice Ak in camo............:)

I am having an AMD-63 built right now (after I had my AMD-65 built, I love it) and Big50 is having a special. I talked to him and he said he will keep the special offer for a few weeks due to shooters waiting for the tax return.
$225 built includes shipping, parkerized or moly coated, trigger job and action job (in house machining and riveting) and test fire. Customer provide all parts and receiver.
If you only needs the built and you refinish the gun yourself, please call him. He has a special for that too (480-577-2006). He is a good guy, easy to deal with.

Is Imagestation just unreliable? I posted pics here, at Battlerifles.com, and 1911Forum.com all the same way and only the ones on Battlerifles.com always show, the ones here and at 1911Forum sometimes appear as the little cube with the red x in the middle.
Next photo I post I'll use photobucket to host it. This is too confusing for me to figure out.
Thanks for the heads up mbakercad.
