I picked up one of the cheapie Dagunov knockoffs buttstock to put on my Romy Ak build I am working on.
I have searched a bit on the net and I am confused on the compliance of it. Assuming it is USA made and stamped, would it count for one, or two compliance pieces. The two pieces it could count for are the pistol grip and the buttstock, or would it be just as a buttstock? I have seen "definative" posts stating both so far?
Just a littel confused, and certainly don't want to screw up with the legal route to my build.

I have an ATF letter stating they count as two . . . However, I would still be interested in seeing the "definitive" posts you refer to.

There is no "US parts count".The count is of imported parts. The US thumbhole stock eliminates two imported parts that are counted. There's nothing that says it has to be marked "USA" .

HI-- Sorry about that. I went back and searched for the posts and I found that the ones I were thinking of were referring to the upper and lower handguards only counting as one.

Drag stocks count as two parts . . . as you say, if they're US-made there's really nothing to count. However, if he's using an imported one, then it's two imported parts.
