I just received my Tantal kit from Wolfsburg Bob. First off I would like to say that these kits are everything that Bob says they are and more. Superb is the word he used and I will use it too. Based on an examination of the piston head, gas tube, bore and the bolt face I would find it hard to believe that this rifle was EVER fired after it left the factory.
Now my question: The hammer spring is either shorter than the standard AK spring, or it has been cut. Not a big deal since I'll be replacing the FCG, but I'm wondering which is it? Was is cut to make it easier to get the parts out during demil, or is it different because of all the 3rd burst parts in there? Anyone know?
